Raven needs to learn

A short note on our updated terms, data confidentiality, and why better CAD AI needs feedback from real use.

Raven needs to learn from its mistakes.

That is the short version of the terms update we are making. Raven is still early, and if we want it to become the CAD assistant we all want to use every day, it has to get better from real work, real failures, and real edge cases.

Under the updated terms, data from Free and Personal plans may be used to improve Raven. That includes internal evaluations, product analytics, model training and fine-tuning, safety testing, troubleshooting, and understanding where Raven succeeds or fails.

It also lets us collaborate more openly with others working on CAD AI. For example, Hugging Face recently released an open CAD AI benchmark and invited us to contribute. We will not publish your work. But the new terms let us aggregate usage patterns, build de-identified or synthetic CAD problems, and contribute to shared benchmarks that can move the whole field forward.

Today, Raven is one of the, if not the, most popular CAD copilot with users acorss the globe. In this new chapter, Raven becomes a continuous,y evolving product that consistently improves, for all users. We strive to live up to the highest expectations and build the best possible tool we can. Every day, people use Raven to get real work done. If Raven makes a bad model, misunderstands a prompt, or fails on a common geometry task, we need to learn from that and avoid it in the future.

At the same time, confidentiality matters. If you work with client files, trade secrets, proprietary projects, regulated data, or anything you simply do not want used for research or model improvement, Professional is the plan built for that stricter data handling. We have set up the Professional Plan to deliver you the best possible experience for Raven in your firm, letting you add multiple seats to an account, share context profiels internally, and have higher monthly usage caps.

Personal license hodlers can also choose to only contribute to aggregated data sets, reducing the data contribution while keeping all the benefits of the personal license. This can be enabled in your account settings.

Existing Pro subscribers from before June 1, 2026 received an offer to upgrade to Professional at no extra cost for one year. For everyone else, the choice is simple: if you are comfortable helping Raven learn, there is nothing you need to do. If you need stronger confidentiality, use Professional.

We are building Raven to become smarter alongside your daily usage. I hope you are as excited as we are about this change.
